Working on Those Christmas Cards

We have received a couple of Christmas cards the last couple of days.  The more cards I receive I begin to think about my plans regarding sending out the annual cards.  Such as – should I just buy cards and sign our names; should I try to get a picture and do one of those family cards (This is the one my husband likes.); should I sent out the family newsletter or just not even bother this year. (Not even bothering with sending Christmas cards is my favorite but in reality that is not the one I ever choose.)

So I spend the afternoon looking through all the pictures taken throughout the year.  This is what I discovered.  We have very few pictures of us together.  Most of my pictures are of scenery, assorted things and my husband.  And then my husband takes pictures of things that interest him and of me…but not together.  The only picture I found of us together was on the  4th of July weekend.

To me this picture surrounded by snowflakes looked out of place.  I think it is the tank top and sunglasses that does it for me.  So then we spend some time trying to take some pictures.  We tried some outside, outside with the dogs, inside and inside with the dogs.  This is the picture we finally decided upon.

Not to bad.  I started looking at local places where you can order the cards from home and then pick them up an hour later.  I finally decided on Wal-mart.  After recovering my password.  I designed my card.  I was pretty pleased with the whole process and it seemed to be going fairly quickly. I called Marc over to look at my hard work and he seemed pleased, too.  I sent my order off and set up text notifications.  I then proceeded to get ready for Sunday night worship services.  My satisfaction of this whole project increased immensely when 20 minutes later I received a text that the order was ready.  I sent Marc over to Wal-mart to pick up the photos while I was driving to the church building.  Long story short – when I finally got home and looked at the cards I was completely mad at myself for the typo.  This is bugging my like crazy.  Part of me wants to just reorder the cards (the whole order was only $11) and then part of me thinks that is kind of wasteful.  Marc just thinks I should stop being a perfectionist and that nobody will notice. So here is the card – Should I just ignore the typo?

  1. Definitely nice photo. Ignore the typo and hope for the best. I can’t wait to see it in the mail…
