Thinking back this last week, I came to the conclusion that the reason it has been hard for me to meet my blogging challenge was due to my procrastination. When I started the challenge I would think about what I was going to write off and on as the day progressed. However, I am now waiting until late evening to think about it and then I hurriedly try to post something before I fall into bed. Most things I want to do I have to intentionally plan for it to happen. If I don’t then the idea whirls around my head until it is forgotten.
I read that most blogs have a theme that they write about. Should I just continue to just write about whatever is whirling around in my head. I was wondering if I should continue to try to post every day or just shoot for a couple of times a week. Of course without a schedule I would never post (which is what was happening before.) My brain is beginning to hurt….
We will see what I come up with tomorrow.
Finish out your month of posting and then maybe go to a theme. But I think it’s important to finish something! Good luck
If you were blogging what would you write about? It seems like somewhere along the way I have forgotten what things I was passionate about. For example, one time it was horses.
hummm…. I don’t think i would blog, but i do write fantasy stories. One is novel length
Emily writes too. Her pen name is Blakely Evans. I know she has entered some writing contests and writes fan fiction. Have you had anyone read your novel? Or thought about self publishing?
I agree with Lynn… Continue the challenge.. it will be rewarding when you complete it.
The main question — do you enjoy writing? Has this given you enjoyment or is this a another chore on the list? I am not wanting to be discouraging, just reflective of why you like to write. And with all writers I would think there are days the writing flows and some days it is a block. Anyway just a thought…
Continue blogging and try a theme as your next challenge to see how that works. Maybe you will find whirling thoughts are the best but the main thing is enjoy it! 👏🏻
I know one thing. I enjoy reading your whirling thoughts..
😘
Thank you, Mary. It is like everything. I wish I had a million bucks so I could do the things I like to do, but life has a way of interfering that makes things I sometimes feel like a chore. It helps that you and Lynn are reading and commenting.
